AbstractEveryorganizationneedstohavewelltrainedandexperiencedpeopletoperformtheactivitiesthathavetobedone.Thusemployees’trainingisnotonlyanactivitythatisdesirablebutalsoanactivitythatanorganizationmustcommitresourcestoifitistomaintainaviableandknowledgeableworkforce.TheconceptofTraininghaschangedfromthetimeitgotevolved.Thedeliverymethodologyisextremelyimportant,asthesuccessofthetrainingisdirectlyrelatedtothemethodologyhandledinthetrainingprogram.

1.INTRODUCTION
Conductingtrainingprogramsintheorganizationisbecomingmorecrucialthesedays.Everyorganizationwantedtheirpeopletogrowwellbothintermsoftechnicalskills&
behaviouralskills.Everyonewillnotknoweverythingwhentheygetintotheorganization.Withexperience&
effectivetraining,anemployeegetstheknowledge&
willstartincorporatingthingsintheworkplace.Withouttrainingthejobbecomesmonotonous.Thustomaketheworkmoreconducive,trainingisbecomingmoremandatory.Trainingisaprocessoflearningasequenceofprogrammedbehavior.Itisapplicationofknowledge.Itgivespeopleanawarenessoftherulesandprocedurestoguidetheirbehavior.Itattemptstoimprovetheirperformanceonthecurrentjobofpreparethemforanintendedjob.Trainingiseverythingthatisdonebyandforstaffsinordertomaintainanextendtheirworkrelatedknowledgeskillsandcapabilities.Trainingisatechniqueaimedatimprovingwhattheorganizationisdoing,byimprovingtheskillsofindividualandteams.
2.THEMAJORPURPOSESOFTRAINING
ToImproveProductivity
Purposefulinstructioncanhelpemployeesincreasetheirlevelofperformanceontheirpresentassignment.Increasedhumanperformanceoftendirectlyleadstoincreasedoperationalproductivityandincreasedcompanyprofit.Again,increasedperformanceandproductivity,becauseoftraining,aremostevidentonthepartofnewemployeeswhoarenotyetfullyawareofthemostefficientandeffectivewaysofperformingtheirjobs.
ToImproveQuality
Betterinformedworkersarelesslikelytomakeoperationalmistakes.Qualityincreasesmaybeinrelationshiptoacompanyproductorservice,orinreferencetotheintangibleorganizationalemploymentatmosphere.
ToHelpaCompanyFulfillitsFuturePersonnelNeeds
Organizationsthathaveagoodinternaleducationalprogrammewillhavetomakelessdrasticmanpowerchangesandadjustmentsintheeventofsuddenpersonnelalternations.Whentheneedarises,organizationalvacanciescanmoreeasilybestaffedfrominternalsourcesifacompanyinitiatesandmaintainsanadequateinstructionalprogrammeforbothitsnon-supervisoryandmanagerialemployees.
ToImproveOrganizationalClimate
Anendlesschainofpositivereactionsresultfromawell-plannedtrainingprogramme.Productionandproductqualitymayimprove;
financialincentivesmaythenbeincreased,internalpromotionsbecomestressed,lesssupervisorypressureensureandbasepayrateincreasesresult.Increasedmoralemaybeduetomanyfactors,butoneofthemostimportantoftheseisthecurrentstateofanorganization’seducationalendeavor.

Propertrainingcanhelppreventindustrialaccident.Asaferworkenvironmentleadstomorestablementalattitudesonthepartofemployees.Managerialmentalstatewouldalsoimproveifsupervisorsknowthattheycanbetterthemselvesthroughcompany-designeddevelopmentprogrammes.
ObsolescencePrevention
Traininganddevelopmentprogramsfostertheinitiativeandcreativityofemployeesandhelptopreventmanpowerobsolescence,whichmaybeduetoage,temperamentormotivation,ortheinabilityofapersontoadapthimtotechnologicalchanges.

Employeesonapersonalbasisgainindividuallyfromtheirexposuretoeducationalexperiences.Again,managementdevelopmentprogramsseemtogiveparticipantsawiderawareness,anenlargedskill,andenlightenedaltruisticphilosophy,andmakeenhancedpersonalgrowthpossible.
