ThereasonforastudenttostudyEnglishlexicology:
Accordingtothetextbook,EnglishLexicologywilldefinitelybebeneficialforstudentsofEnglish.
AgoodknowIedgeofmorphologicalstructuresofEnglishwordsandrulesofword-formationwillhelplearnersdeveloptheirpersonalvocabularyandconsciouslyincreasetheirwordpower.Theinformationofthehistoricaldevelopmentandtheprinciplesofclassificationwillgivethemadeeperunderstandingofword-meaningandenablethemtoorganize,classifyandstorewordsmoreeffectively.Theunderstandingandtheirsenserelationswillgraduallyraisetheirawarenessofmeaningandusage,andenablethemusewordsmoreoccuratelyandappropriately.Aworkingknowledgeofdictionarieswillimprcvetheirskillsofusingreferencebooksandraisetheirproblem-solvingabilityandefficiencyofindividualstudy.
