英语的句法特征：
主语突出，只能是名词或名词性的词语、数词、代词等少数词类；
谓语受主语支配，人称和数必须与主语一致，有时体态式变化；
句与句之间多以明示逻辑关系的连接词相连。
在汉英翻译中，英语是主语显著语言，英语句子建筑在主谓轴上。
因此选择确定主谓语，是成功构句、保证译文与原文功能相似、语义相符的关键。
4.1主语的确定以原句主语作译文主语重新确定主语增补主语=照搬=调整=新觅以原句主语作译文主语当汉语原文有明确的主语，而且该主语由名词或主格人称代词充当时，我们可以原主语作译文的主语。
如：
我们的房子是一百多年前建造的。
Ourhousewasbuiltoverahundredyearsago.我是北京人。
IcomefromBeijng.一切稳固的东西都烟消云散，一切神圣的东西都将被亵渎。
Allthatissolidmeltsintoair,allthatisholyisprofaned.KarlMarx弦理论看似可以导出许多不同的宇宙。
我们的宇宙可能只是其中之一，而且不见得有多么特殊。
Thestringtheoryseemstobeabletogiverisetomanydifferentworlds,ofwhichoursseemstobepotentiallyone,butnotevennecessarilyaveryspecialone.重新确定主语在许多情况下，我们需要重新选择和确定主语以保证译文逻辑通顺、行文流畅、语言自然地道，行使与原文相似的功能。
用来替换原主语的，可以是句中的其他成分，也可以是句外的词语。
他的身材魁梧，生一副大长方脸，嘴巴阔大，肌肤呈着紫檀色。
