Abstract
NetworkEnglishteachinghasbeengraduallyappliedinEnglishteachinginrecentyears,andhasbroughtgreatimpactoncollegeEnglishteaching.Withthepopularityofcomputersandnetworks,moreandmorepeoplebegintousecomputersandgraduallyunderstandandusethenetworklanguage.NetworkEnglishistheiconicrepresentative.NetworkEnglishisemergedwiththedevelopmentofthemodernNetwork,andisusedtoexpressfeelingsandlifeofusers.TheabilityofonlinecommunicationinEnglishandthecapacitytoextractandprocessinformationontheNetworkhasbeenconsideredoneimportantindicatorofEnglishabilityintheinformationera.Therefore,ifwewanttobefamiliarwiththeNetworkEnglish,walkintotheNetworkEnglish,andmakebetteruseofit,weshouldrealizethenetworklanguage,andgetfamiliarwiththecharacteristicsofthenetworkEnglish.

Withthedevelopmentofcomputertechnology,Networkismoreandmorewidelyspread.TheconvenienceofcommunicationandexchangefromNetworkiswellacknowledgedamongmanypeople.Inrealtimecommunicationofnetwork,Englishisdoubtlessthemainaidforcommunicationnomatterbye-mailsorchatroomconversation.ThusnetworkEnglishcomesintobeing.StandardNetworkEnglisharecommonlyusedwordsine-mail,discussiongroups,chatrooms,WWWpagesandeverywhereonthenet.Networklanguageincludesthoseoftechnicalterms,hackerslangandacronymsrelatedwithNetwork.TheuseofEnglishlanguageinthecyberspaceischangingataconfoundingpace.
AndalsowiththepopularityofNetwork,EnglishthereupondevelopsandchangesasmainlanguageinNetwork.NetworkEnglishhasanewvocabularywhicheitherdescribesthenewthings,orthenewlyformedabbreviationforeasyinputting,orthecommonsymboliclanguageoftheworld.Thenetworkwillbringnewideasandthingstopeopleeverydayandthenewvocabularyproducedbyitisincreasedprogressivelyatthepacesof500wordseveryyear.However,thedictionariescompiledbyexpertsarefarbehindtheemergingofthenewnetworkEnglish.Therefore,itisgreatlynecessaryforustoanalyzetheword-formationmethods,characteristicsandtranslationofnetworkEnglish,hopingtobehelpfultomanyNetworkusers.
AccordingtonetworkEnglishanditsimpactonEnglishteaching,manyresearchershavebeguntofeeltherapiddevelopmentofNetworkEnglish,thebeneficialandadverseeffectsoncollegeEnglishteaching,andproposedsomecountermeasures.

Network,withitsconciselanguage,humorandothercharacteristics,isacceptedbypeopleofallages,andfrequentlyusedinstudentscompositions.NetworkEnglishisoneoftheimportantcomponents.NetworkEnglishteachingisbasedonmodernnetworktechnology,andcanprovidestudentswiththefulldimensionalEnglishlearningenvironment.Therefore,asanewteachingmodel,networkEnglishteachingdemonstratesanew,worldwidelearning,providesstudentswithconvenientfacilitiesandlearningopportunitiestostudy,andcreatesabroadfreeEnglishlearningenvironment.AndalsotheapplicationofNetworkEnglishcouldstimulatetheinnovationandcreativityofstudents,andimprovetheircommunicationability.
Whenpeoplediscovernewthings,meetnewproblems,andsummupnewexperiences,newideasarise,andnewwordsandexpressionswillarise,too.Ononehand,thereareplentyofcountrieswhichuseEnglishasmothertongueorsecondlanguagethroughouttheworldoneverycontinent,andaroundthelocalcustoms,habitsandsocialenvironmentofgreatdistinction,therewillalsobedifferentformsofexpressionsandwords.Ontheotherhand,manyofsuchexpressionswillbegraduallyabsorbedintotheclassicEnglishdictionary,aspartofthelanguage.Withthedevelopmentofcomputertechnology,andwidelyapplicationofnetworkindailylife,moreandmorepeoplebegintoexperiencereal-timecommunicationonline.Inthisprocessnetworkhascreateditsownnew-stylelanguage,alanguagefullofuniquecharmandfinallymakingonlinecommunicationbearmorecharacteristicsofthetimes.
2.1TheEmergenceandDevelopmentofNetworkEnglish
Peopleinthenetworkworld,arefreetoreadmagazine,watchnetworkTV,dobusinessgoshopping,andconducttransactions.Alsotheyarefreetomakefriendsinthechatroom,andevenfindthenetworklover,andsende-mails.Somewords,suchas“e-business,cyber-lover”,werebroughtbyNetwork.Inthisinformationera,thenetworkcreatesitsownlanguage,andformsuniquenewNetworkusers,soourverbalcommunicationownsmorecharacteristicsofthetimes.

Thestart-upstage(late1970s-imd1990s)istheaudio-visualenglisheducation,featuredbychats,modelsandaudio-visualmedia,combinationofprojection,slideaudioandvideorecords.Thedevelopmentstage(mid1990s-late1990s)isthemulti-mediaEnglisheducation,featuredbymulti-mediacomputerandlargescreen.Thein-depthdevelopmentstage(beginningof2000-now)isthemulti-mediaEnglisheducation,feturedbycomputernetwork(localareanetworkandinternet).Especiallythelate90's,MultimediatechnologyinEnglishteachingalmostcompletelyreplacedthestatusofothermediawithitshypertext,interaction,flexibility,andconvenience.Therapiddevelopmentofinformationtechnologypromotedthepopularizationandapplicationofmultimediatechnologyandnetworktechnology.Intheendof20century,networkaccessedtoEnglisheducation,andsoonwaswidelyusedinEnglisheducation.
2.2TheFeaturesofNetworkEnglish
