一、教材分析：
本节课是新目标英语八年级上册第九单元第二课时，本课内容是熟悉如何用情态动词can来表达邀请；总结，巩固语法can表邀请的句型问答，并且学会对邀请进行恰当的答复或拒绝，中心话题是：
invitation。
本课时的设计紧紧围绕中心话题和语言展开各种教学活动，让学生能在“做中学”，让学生初步体验话题语言，为语言目标打下坚实的词汇、话题语言基础。
本节与上节相关性分析：
上节课中，学生已经通过了大量的操练掌握了用情态动词can表示要求的用法，在本节课中除了继续巩固操练外，要让学生学会运用这个句型。
同时配合相对应的小组活动，听力训练。
二、学情分析：
八年级的学生们对party很感兴趣。
而且之前已经大量学习过can表示能力等的用法，所以学生对本课时，canyou用于邀请，也不难掌握。
通过本课的学习，让学生们学会用英语交流与交际，从而激发学生对英语的学习产生兴趣。
本节课我从学生的学习兴趣、生活经验和认知水平出发，倡导体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式以及多样的教学途径，充分激发学生强烈的学习愿望，使学生获得最基本的英语听说能力，发展学生的综合语言运用能力。
并在注重学生知识能力发展的同时，特别强调学生人格的发展和思维的发展。
三、设计理念：
《新课程标准》明确指出：
基础教育阶段英语课程目标是以学生的语言技能、语言知识、情感态度、学习策略和文化意识的发展为基础，培养学生英语综合语言运用能力。
本课仍然围绕话题和语言结构，让学生在完成任务的过程中体验，实践、参与、交流与合作，实现用英语完成有实际意义的语言任务，享受学习语言的乐趣。
四、教学要求：
本节课要求学生进一步学习运用所学的知识来表达邀请；学会如何回答别人对自己的邀请，以及学会如何有礼貌地拒绝他人的邀请，并陈述理由，谈论更多的话题，并用句型参加小组活动。
在此基础上进行阅读和听力的练习。
让学生学会在阅读文章中提取需要的信息补全对话，学会在听力过程中做简单的记录并提取信息填写表格。
五、教学目标：

2）熟练掌握下列句子：

5）掌握情态动词can,must,haveto,might的用法。
