Afollow-upstudywith72Americansand36foreignersexploredtheircreativenegotiatingskills.Pairsofstudentswereaskedtoplaytheroleofsellerofapetrolstationwhothenneededtogetajobandabuyerwhowouldneedtohirestafftorunthebusiness.Thetwowerelikelytoreachadeadlockbecausethebuyerhadbeentoldhecouldnotaffordwhatthesellerwastoldwashisminimumprice.Nevertheless,whenbothnegotiatorshadlivedabroad70%struckadealinwhichthesellerwasofferedamanagementjobatthepetrolstationinreturnforaloweraskingprice.Whenneitherofthenegotiatorshadlivedabroad,nonewasabletoreachadeal.
