XWINDOWSRECOMMENDEDFORGRAPHICSONUNIX

MATLABmakesuseofXWindowsonUnixtorenderjpeg

filesefficiently.Whilethematlabservercomponent

ofthisproductcangenerategraphicswithoutXWindows,

thebestefficiencycomesfromtheuseofXWindows.

XWindowsmustberunningbeforethematlabserver

isstarted.

NOTE:

ThenotationrepresentstheMATLAB

rootdirectory,thedirectorywhereMATLABisinstalled

onyoursystem.

CHANGESFROMPREVIOUSRELEASES

1.Theservercannowbeconfiguredtoacceptconnectionsonly

fromspecifiednodes.Createafilecalledhosts.confinthe

/webserverdirectory.Listhostnames,oneoneachline,

fromwhichyouwantconnectionstobeaccepted.Forexample,

Connectionrequestsfromanyotherhostwillberejected.

2.Thehtmlrepfunctionnowsupportsafourthoptionalargument.If

youinclude'noheader'inthestringofthisargument,theHTTP

header,"Content-type:

text/html\n\n"willnotbeincluded

intheoutput.（Notethatyoumustsupplyanemptystringas

thethirdargumentifyoudonotwanttheoutputtoalsobe

port,etc.Usethe"-h"optionwiththisscript

toseethevariousoptions.
