Well,Igraduatedandwentdowntothebank.ThepresidentofthebankhadcalledtheagencyandsaidhewouldliketoemployaqualifiedIndiangirl.SoIwentdownthere,andtheygavemeatest,andIwasinterviewed.AndthentheytoldmetocomeinthefollowingMonday.That'showIwenttowork.IfinishedcollegeMay29,andIwenttoworkJune1.Iworkedthereforthreeyears.

  Inthefallof1966,myfatherandthepresidentoftheTribalBoardaskedmetocomebacktoBigCypresstomanageaneweconomicenterprisethere.Itseemedlikeadreamcometrue,becauseIcouldnotgobacktoliveatBigCypresswithoutajobthere.

  Butthenreally,throughitall,Ialwayswishedtherewassomething,eventhesmallestthing,thatIcoulddoformypeople.MaybeI'mhelpingnow.ButIcanseethatImaygettiredofitinayear,orevenless.ButrightnowI'mgladtohelpbuildupthestore.Ifitdidn'tworkout,ifthestorefailed,andIthoughtIhadn'teventried,Iwouldreallyfeelbad.
