1introduction
Inrecentyears,manydomesticandforeignstandardsdonotadvocateinformationequipmentusingindependentgroundingdevice,recommendtheuseofcommonearthingsystem.Forexample,the2000editionoftheGB50057-94"designcodeforprotectionofstructures"inpointoutclearly:
"everybuildingitselfshouldadoptcommonearthingsystem"tobethebuildingswithinthevariousgroundingareunifiedtobuildingsbasedon,oroutdoorgroundingdevice.Whenthebuildingwashitbylightning,powersystemvoltageandelectricalequipmentgroundingvoltagerisesatthesametime,keeptheequipmentworkingvoltageconstant,sothattheelectronicequipmentfromlightningstrikescanworknormally.Commonearthingsystemusuallyusethebuildingfoundationgroundingelectrode,thegroundingresistancelessthan1ohmingeneral,iftheequipmentgroundingresistancerequirementislower,shouldtaketheminimumvalue.
