Translationisafieldfullofparadoxesandtranslatabilityoruntranslatabilityisoneofthem.Thisparadoxoriginatedinidealisticagnosticism，andalsorootedintheinevitablecontradictionsanddifficultiesarisingintheprocessoftranslatingandcausedbythedifferencebetweennationallanguagesandcultures.Untranslatabilityisadisputedissue.Inordertounderstanduntranslatability,weshouldfirstmakeclearwhatarethetranslatabilityandthelimitationoftranslatability.Inthispaper,untranslatabilitywillbediscussedfromseveralaspects.Onthebasisofanalysisoftheculturalgaps,plusthelimitationoftranslatability,thenthelinguisticuntranslatabilityandculturaluntranslatabilityareexplored.
