写作中易犯的典型错误

　　一、人称的混用

　　由于中文口语中"他、她"的发音毫无区别，导致中国学生在讲到一位女性的时候，有用"He"的习惯，或是He和She的混用。

就看图说话一题，明明是一个男士在购物，就有很大一部分人用She。

因为人称的准确运用是一个最基本的技能，因此中国考生人称混用的问题，在美国人看来是一个非常荒唐的错误。

如何来克服这个问题呢?

　　练习的方法是：

在与英语时有意识把说话速度放慢，并留心正在谈到的人是男性还是女性，从而正确地运用He和She。

经过一段时间的练习，就会培养起正确运用He和She的习惯。

　　二、动词第三人称加“S”

　　中国学生在说英语时普遍存在第三人称He、She和It后忘记加S的问题。

正如人称的混用一样，动词第三人称后忘记加S能反映出沉重英语基本功的薄弱。

美国人对类似错误的重视程度从托福文法考试中大量主谓一致题目的考核上就可以看出。

　　练习的方法与纠正人称混用相同，与英语时放慢速度注意第三人称后动词形式的正确选用。

　　三、动词时态的错误

　　学生在英文作文中存在着大量动词时态的错误，在口语表达上动词时态的错误就更为普遍。

因为动词在每句话中都起重要的作用，对时态的正确选择就显得尤为重要。

一个美国人很容易判断时态的正确和错误。

从语法角度来说，能正确运用动词时态是取得TSE高分的必要条件。

动词时态的错误可以分为两类：

一类是动词时态错误，比如：

Hecatchacoldlastweek.其中的catch就是时态错误。

第二类是动词时态形式的错误，比如：

Hecatchedacoldlastweek..其中的catched就是动词形式的错误。

catch的正确过去式为caught。

应该说没有一个美国人能明白catched的意思。

正因为动词时态非常重要，本书第四节将对动词时态进行深入的讲解，提供大量的练习并给出常见不规则动词的三种形式。

　　四、表达思想内容空洞

　　中国学生表达思想时往往太空洞。

具体来说就是表达思想时只陈述一个中心思想，如谈到一个大学的好坏时，会说"Theuniversityhasagoodlibrary.""Theuniversityhasexcellentsportsfacilities."就此就停止了,而没有据地展开。

　　要想避免表达思想内容空洞就一定按照上面大学图书馆一例来把自己的想法展开。

需要展开到多细，可以根据你的知识面而定，但这种表达思想的思路是至关重要的，这就是说，文章一定要有细节。

现在请你把"Theuniversityhasexcellentsportsfacilities."展开。

　　五、文化背景差异

　　在阐述思想时能把中国文化中普遍认同的东西表达出来，却没有能够把中国人为何普遍认同这种东西其背后的原因和条件讲出来。

因为美国人对其背后的原因和条件一无所知，就无法明白你想表达的思想观点，甚至会认为你所表达的观点是荒唐的。

比如说，一个学生在谈到在中国用什么交通工具最好这一问题时，阐述了这一观点"Onlytheverywealthypeoplecanaffordtobuyacar."为了使美国人真正理解这句话，就必须按下边方法来交代原因和条件：

　　ThelivingstandardinChinaisverylow.Theaveragemonthlyincomeperpersoneveninlargeandaffluentcitiesisabout100U.S.dollars.Thisincomeisjustenoughtocoverthefamilyexpenses,withoutanymoneyletforsavings.Furthermore,carsinChinaarefarmoreexpensivethanintheUnitedStates.ThecheapestcarinChinawouldbeabout10,000dollars.VeryfewpeopleinChinacansaveenoughtopurchaseacar,nottomentionthecostofcarmaintenance.

　　六、用词的问题

　　学英语时尽可能地扩大词汇量是必要的，问题往往地词汇量虽大却不知如何准确地选用，而造成用"大词"和"用词不当"的问题。

一个人的应分为阅读词汇、听力词汇、写作词汇和口语词汇。

因此在你已掌握的词汇中一定要"精练"那些美国生活当中最常用的语汇，注意生活中小词多用和活用的现象。

数字统计原理：

要想更有说服力，就应该用实际的数字来说明。

原则上在议论文当中不应该出现虚假数字的，可是在考试的时候哪管那三七二十一，但编无妨，只要我有东西写就万事大吉了。

所以不妨试用下面的句型：

这里的虚拟语气用得很经典，因为考官本来经常考这个句型，而如果我们自己写出来，你说考官会怎么想呢？
