非限定性定语从句

限定性定语从句与非限定性定语从句区别

1．形式上，非限定性定语从句有逗号隔开，而限定性定语从句没有。

2．意义上，限定性定语从句与先行词关系紧密，如果省去，主句的意思就不完整或不明确。

非限定性定语从句只是对先行词附加说明，如果省去，意思仍然清楚。

Shehasasonwhoisadoctor.

她有一个做医生的儿子。

Shehasason,whoisadoctor.

她有个儿子，那个儿子是做医生的。

Hesaidnothingthatmadeherangry.

他没有说让她生气的事情。

Hesaidnothing,whichmadeherangry.

他什么也没说，他的做法使他生气了。

Ihavelostthepenwhichlikeverymuch.

Ihavelostthepen,whichIlikeverymuch.

HisfatherwhoisinBeijingwillreturntoJiangyinnextmonth.

限定性定语从句可以用that引导，非限定性定语从句不可以用that引导，如果指物用which,如果指人用who/whom

限定性定语从句的关系代词做宾语时可以省略，非限定性定语从句的关系代词做宾语时则不能省略，介词后的关联词也不能省略。

Heistheman（whom/thatyoucanturntoforhelp.）

Heisthemantowhomyoucanturnforhelp.（不能省）

限定性定语从句只修饰先行词；非限定性定语从句可以修饰先行词，也可以修饰其前面整个句子或句子的一部分。

Ihavefinishedthenovelthatyoulentmeyesterday.

Shefailedintheexamagain,whichmadehermotherveryangry.

HewillmakeatriptoSuzhou,whichisfamousforitsbeautifulscenery.
