Partofthereasonittookawhiletostarttofindthecloverinthewildisthat,unlikeotherrareplants,thisonewon'tgrowinunspoiledareas.Itlikesbeingrunover.Whenthecloverwasfirstdiscovered.USFishandWildlifeServices(USFWS)forestmanagersweretoldtoavoiddrivingintheareapopulatedbytheplant.Butthismadetheclovertheredisappear.IntheFernowForestinWestVirginia,Gundy,aresearchforester,realizedtheskidders(集材拖拉机)usedtopulltreeshadhelpedensuretheclover'sgrowthbeforeanyoneknewitwasthere.SoinherworkmonitoringthepopulationinFernow,Gundyrunsoverthecloverwithaskidder."Youneedtoremembertoagitateit,"shesays.
