PREFACE

Thisguideisdevelopedtofacilitateforcompaniesthatimportgoodsinthefieldsoftextiles,clothes,leathergoodsandshoestocomplywiththechemicallegislationandrecommendationsinforce.Thisguidealsoincludesrecommendationsregardingpackagingmaterial.Byrequiringthattheirsuppliersfollowtheseguidelines,andtherebyavoidingimportingproductscontainingunwantedsubstances,humanhealthandtheenvironmentareprotectedinproducing,supplyingandimportingcountries.Importofthementionedproductsfrom,inparticular,developingcountriestotheEuropeanUnion(EUisalsofacilitatedandpromotedbythisguide.

Thedistinguishingpropertiesofthechemicalsandtheprocessesinwhichtheyareusedaredescribedintheguide.
