Likeallourcompetitors,wedevelopednewproductssuchasgiftware(精品,礼品)andluxuryitems.Forexample,wedesignedproductswithatimedeviceinthemandcustomerscouldprinttheirlogoontheproductforpromotionalpurposes.Howevercompetitionbecamereallysevere.Itreachedapointthatanyproductwhichhadatimemoduleinitbecamelessvaluable.
Intheshortterm,wehadtocutourcosts.Howeverforcertaincustomerswhoarelesspriceconscious,Iwasabletoupgradethequalityofourproducts,forexample,byofferingbetterbatteries,alongerwarranty,etc.Wedidnotwantourcustomerstothinkwewererippingthemoffofcourseifwechargedahigherprice.Forcustomerswhowerelessfocusedonquality,wehadofcoursetoreduceourprices.
