MelissaHallandJudyRogerspresentedinformationabouttheMathadoption.12memberswereinattendance.ThepresentationwasaboutFacilitiesandSafetybyFrankUrbina.Theneedofbetterlightingistobefulfilledbygoingthroughaprocess.Startattheschoolwiththeprincipal–theysubmitaworkorder.ThenyoumayneedtotalktotheAcademicOfficer,butstartwiththeprincipal.Thereare3levelsofimportance（triage）-someoneshouldrespond.

LynStrizich,aTitleISpecialist,didagreatjobpresentinginformationaboutNoChildLeftBehind.Mr.Sheardwasimpressedbythepresentation.Itwasfullyattended,22people.Therewasaconcernexpressedaboutneedinganinterpreteratthemeetings.

Dr.Fagenmadespecialneedsparentsfeelapartofthegroup.HelpingSpecialEd.studentshelpstypicalstudentsandviceversa.Dr.Fagenhasanopendoorpolicyandopenemail.Look’slikeparentsfeltheard.Stevediscussedhowteachers/parentshaveafearoftheunknownregardinginclusion.Theyneedtranslators/interpreters.Twoboardmemberswerethere,theysaidthatthey’dliketoreturntoheartheconcerns.

Cherylproposedthatallmemberslookattheagendafortheschoolboardmeeting.IfthereissomethingofinterestthatEleanorcanfocusonletherknow.Theagendaishugeandit’stoomuchtoreportoneverything.

DuringtheCalltoAudienceMr.LarryBarryfromWrightstownElementaryandsisterschooltoHenryElementaryinformedtheboardofapartnershipwithOchoaElementarythatiseducatingstudentsinthebuildingofcomputers.Thisprogramisstrictlyvoluntaryonthestudentandfacilitatorparts.TheyhavemetonseveralSaturdaystotaredownandreassemblecomputersthatarebeingdonatedbyalocalcompanyforschoolusage.Theelementarystudentswereable,withtheassistanceofthefacilitators,todisassembleandreassemblecomputerstotheircompletion.Mr.Barryhopesthatthisventurewillspreadthroughoutthedistrictenablingourchildrentobebetterpreparedfortheirfutureeducationintechnology.

InremarksmadebyCherylBowmanofSCPCthenewofficerswereintroducedandwelcomedbytheboard.

Severalpresentationsweremade,firstbyTheProfessionalGroupPublicConsultingInc.,whohasbeencontractedbytheBoardtomakerecommendationsconcerningourassetmanagement.Newtrackingrecommendationsweremade,buttheoveralltoneofthepresentationwasthatwearelackingcontroloveroutassets.

TUSDAlternativeEducationwaspresentedbydirector,staffandeducatorsofthisportionofourdistrict.Regardlessofaslightdeclineofstudentsitisfeltthatwithoutthisprogramfarmorestudentswouldbedroppingoutunpreparedforpositivefutures.

ThefinalpresentationofnotewasmadeonourpayrollsystemPeopleSoft.Again,itwasstressedthatwefallshortinourtechnologycreatinganextremelycumbersomeprocessofaccountingforpayrollandbenefits.Itwasnotedthatmostofourineffectivenessisduetoextremelyantiquatedsystems,butahugefinancialoutputwouldbenecessarytobringthesesystemscurrent.Furtherassessmentwillbemadeandreportedwhenavailable.

Themeetingwasadjourned;Iwouldliketosaythatmyreportmayseemshortandsomewhatincomplete.IfeltalittlelikeIhadtunedintoanongoingsoapoperaandtherewasalotofinformationassumedthatIwasnotawareof.
