Overthecourseoffivedays,thecampledthejuniorandsecondaryschoolstudentsthrougharangeofexperiencesandcareeropportunitiesthatwereentirelynewtothem.Dr.AgnesApusiga,alecturerfromtheUniversityofDevelopmentStudies,rantheworkshopongoal-settingandcareerchoices,describingtheuniversitiesandtrainingcollegesinGhanathatcouldhelpthemachievetheirdreams.ParticipantsthenvisitedtheUniversityforDevelopmentStudies,wheretheytouredthemedicalschoolandsciencelabs.AnotherhighlightwasaworkshopatthecomputerlabatTamaleSecondarySchool.Manyofthegirlshadstudiedinformationtechnologyfromabookbuthadneverbeforeseenacomputer.

“Whenthegirlsarrivedatcamp,theywerenotambitious,becausetheydidn’thaveanyideawhattheworldheldforthem,”saysEugeniaAyagiba,ProjectOfficerwithCamfedGhana.“Manyhadscarcelytraveledbeyond
