阅读也是一种创造，其目的就是提升学习乐趣、撷取信息、扩大词汇量、巩固语法、获取知识、扩大知识面，是通向大千世界的桥梁，培养学生阅读能力十分重要。

我市现行英语教材使用的是人教版《新版PEP小学英语》，没有专设阅读材料，为此我校号召组织部分教师，本人结合教材内容编写了符合4年级学生的阅读材料。

阅读材料体裁广泛，以话题为中心，内容丰富有趣、通俗易懂、涉及面广，对英语教材有巩固、补充和拓展作用。

并配有各种练习可以检验学生的阅读效果，每个单元教材的重点句型知识再现，能提高学习的有效性，激发小学生的阅读兴趣，为学生进一步学习打好基础。

此套阅读题的设计严格遵循4年级段小学生的认知特点，紧扣教材，题型新颖，拓展适度，贴近小学生生活实际，为教师指导学生进行阅读提供有力的参考依据。

此阅读补充小手册也将成为小学生英语朗读大赛和故事大赛提供参考和借鉴。

愿此套阅读手册能成为我校广大小学生们增强学习兴趣、巩固语言知识、开阔视野、提高语言能力的良师益友，成为广大英语教师的得力助手！
