InThisSection,WeWillDiscuss:

Wewillattempttoclearlyandlogicallyworkourwaythrougheachoftheitemslistedabove.Broadlytheyaresettinguptoseeourresultsandthendecidingtoapprove,rejectorreprocessourresults.MuchofthesetupissomethingyouwillbuildasyouunderstandtheoptionsinChemStoreandonceyoubuildityoucansaveittoreusenexttime.

ReviewLayout

WelookedbrieflyattheChemStoreReviewClientbefore,butletslookattheitemsonthescreenindetail.

1-Thefunctionsavailablefromthetoolbarsarealsoavailableunderthemenusatthetopofthescreen.

2-WelookedattheQueryandFiltertoolsinthelastsection.

3-Thesethreebuttonsarekeyastheyselectbetweenviewsofyourdata.ReviewLayoutshowsresultsforindividualrunswithchromatograms.TableLayoutgivesyouaccesstoyourresultslaidoutintables.ChartLayoutallowsthecreationofplotsfromyourdata.Thedropdownmenuturnsonandoffsummaryorregressionstatisticsforyourresults.

4-Thesetoolsgiveyouaccesstoallaspectsofreporting,creating,editing,selecting,previewingandprinting.Allofthedifferentwaysdatacanbeviewedandcalculatedonthescreenareavailableinreports.Inadditionreportsoffermoresophisticatedoptionsforsorting,groupingandfilteringresults.

5-Thistoolsavesandmanagesthescreenlayouts（views）youcreatesoyoudon’thavetorecreatethemconstantly.

6-ThesampleandCompoundtabsswitchbetweenviewingresultsthathaveoneuniquevalueforeachrun（Sample）andthosethathavevaluesforeachpeakorsignal（Compound）

ReviewLayout–CompoundView

Ifweselectthecompoundtabweseeresultsforeachindividualpeak,likespectra.

SelectingResults

Ineverylayout,selectingthecolumnstoolgivesusaccesstotheitemstobedisplayedonthescreen.Navigatethroughthetreeofdatacategoriesontheleftuntilyoulocatetheitemyouwishtoinclude.Usethe>buttontoplacetheminthelistontheright.YoucanpresstheFormatbuttontoselecthowyourvaluesaredisplayed.

Ifyouselectaniteminthedisplaylist,theupanddownarrowbuttonsmovetheitemupanddownthelist.Thiscontrolstheorderthecolumnsaredisplayedonthescreen.

ReviewLayout

ThisslideshowsanexampleoftheReviewLayoutbeforeandaftercolumnsareadded.

SavingViews

Onceyouhavecreatedascreenlayouttoyoursatisfaction,youcanselecttheViewtool

（1）andsavethelayout

（2）.Youcangivetheviewanynameyoudesireanditwillappearinthelistofavailableviews.Whenyousavealayoutitcontainstheinformationfromallofthelayoutundereachofthelayoutbuttons.ThisallowsyoutosetupyourReviewLayoutnowandsavetheview.Thenyoucancomebacklater,selectthatviewanddefineaTableLayout.Whenyousavetheviewagainthenewtablelayoutisaddedtotheexistingreviewlayoutandbothlayoutsareavailablewhentheviewisloaded.

SelectingManageallowsyoutoaddcomments,renameordeleteyourviews.

Notethattheviewsyoucreateareyoursandtheyarenotavailabletoothers.Intheadministrationsectionwewillshowyouhowtheadministratorcanshareyourviewswithothers.Whenyouallowsomeoneelsetoshareyourviewtheywillstillnotbeabletochangeyourview.Theycansaveyourviewunderanewnameandcreatetheirownviewbutyouaretheonlyonethatcanchangeviewsyouhavecreated.

Approve,Reject,orReprocess

Whenwereviewourresultswecanusethereviewlayouttoexaminethebaselinesforthechromatogramsandthenumericresults.Wemaywanttouseotherviewsorreportstodeterminethingslikethesystemsuitabilityandperformancecriteria.Onceweunderstandwhichresultswearesatisfiedwith,wecanrightclickintherunlistandgetalistofoptionsformarkingruns.Foranindividualrun,orallrunsatonce,wecanmarktherunsforapproval,rejection,orreprocessingintheChemStation.

Youcanalsoclickonthecheckmarksatthebottomoftherunlisttomarktherun.

Whenyoumarkarunasexcluded,itremainsintherunlistbutthedataisnotdisplayedontheright.Thisissimilartofilteringbutcansavealotofeffortincreatingqueriesorfiltersthatremovespecificruns.

Forexample,ifyouhaveablankinjectioninyoursequenceitshouldnotbeincludedinyourstatistics.Ratherthanchangingthequeryorfilteryoucouldsimplyexcludetheblankrun.Thereportsreflecttherunsthathavebeenexcludedyounoonewillthinkyouaresimplyhidingresults.

ApprovingSelectedRuns

Dependinguponthestudyconfiguration,therunsmaybeapprovedbyoneormore1stand2ndlevelreviewers.Onceyouhavemarkedtherunsyouwishtoapproveyoucanselecttheapprovetoolshownabove.Youarepromptedforyourpasswordtoelectronicallysigntheapproval.Thereareuptothreelevelsofapprovalavailable.Thedesirednumberoflevelsiscontrolledonastudybasis.

Youmustbeassignedtheprivilegeinordertobeallowedtoapproveorrejectruns.Thelevelofprivilegeiscontrolledbytheadministrator.Theaudittrailalwaysaccuratelyreflectstheapprovalactivitiesforarunwithidentityoftheuser,date,timestamp,andelectronicsignature.

Onceyouhaveenteredavalide-signature,youwillbeaskedtoselectareasonfortheapprovalandthenfillinacomment.Youcanassignthecommentandapprovaltoallentriesorjustthecurrententry.

RejectingSelectedRuns

Rejectionworksinthesamemannerasapproval.Rejectiondoesnotlockarecordsoitcouldbereprocessedandapprovedlater.

Ifyounormallywantrejectedrunstobeinaccessibleyoucandefinequeriestoexcluderejectedruns.

Administratorscanpre-defineasetofstandardcommentsintheApprovalConfigurationmenu.Theusercanstilladdanewcommentormodifythepre-definedcommentsduringtheapprovalprocess.

Eachactionwillbedocumentedintheaudittrail.

SecondLevelApproval

Ifyourlaboratoryrequiresmultiplelevelsofapproval,youradministratorwillsetupthisrequirementinChemStore.Intheexampleabove,twolevelsofapprovalarerequired.The2ndlevelreviewerselectstheSecondLevelradiobuttonandprovidestheapprovalorrejectionreasons.

Arejectionsubmittedbyoneuseroverrulestheapprovalofotherreviewers.Asecondlevelapprovalcanalsobeappliedforrunswithno1stlevelapproval.

Therunscanbeautomaticallylockedwhenaspecifiedapprovalstatusisreached.Lockingarunpreventsfurtherbatchreprocessingofthisrun.Toundothelock,theapprovalneedstoberejected.LockedrunscannotbereloadedintoChemStation.

CreateChemStationBatch

WhenyouhavemarkedarunforbatchreprocessingintheChemStationpressingthebatchtoolbringsupamorecomplexdialogboxtoselecthowthebatchistobecreated.

Wewillcoverbatchreprocessingindetailinthenextsection.

ViewingCustomFieldValues

Whenyouhaveselectedarunthe‘I’buttonsprovidedetailedinformationforthatresult.

Thefirstbuttonwithonlyasamplevialonitpopsupaboxwithsampleinformation.Thefirstsectionprovidesthenameandcreationtimestampfortherunitself（notthetimeoftheselectedrevision）.

ThesecondsectionprovidesthesampleinformationfieldsthatareapartoftheChemStationsampleinformationforallruns.TheseitemsareenteredinthesinglerunsetuporthesequencetableoftheChemStation.

ThethirdsectionisatableofthecustomfieldsyouconfiguredwiththevaluesyouprovidedintheChemStoreSingleRunSetuportheChemStoreSequenceSetup.
