ThisstudypresentsadetailedreportoftheprojectimplementedtosolvetheproblemthatsomeofmystudentsdonotliketodotheirEnglishhomework.BasedonthecharacterofEnglish,assigningschoolworkappropriately,whichnotonlyhelpsstudentgraspandstrengthentheknowledgeinbook,butalsoacquirethemethodstraininginanalysis,synthesis,analogy,deduction,andinduction.Soit’sabsolutelypossibletoaccomplishlightburdenandhighquality.Thoughwewillmeetmanydifficultiesinteaching,wewillachieveorapproachtothegoalbypaycloseattentionandworktrulyonit.

  Introduction

ThepurposeofmiddleschoolEnglishteachingistoimprovethestudents’fourskillsoflistening,speaking,readingandwriting,onthebaseofnecessaryphonetics,largevocabularyandgoodgrammar,butthisisnotthefinalpurpose.Thefinalpurposeistolotletstudentsbeabletousethelanguage.

 InQuestionnaireOne（AppendixA）,IconcludedwhatthestudentsthoughtofEnglish.Thefollowingwerethemainreasonswhytheydidn’tlikeEnglish.Someweakstudentslackconfidence.TheythoughttheirEnglishwaspoorandtheywereafraidofmakingmistakesandbeinglaughedatbyothers.Somethoughttheirpronunciationandintonationwerepoor,whichpreventedthemfrombeingwillingtospeakEnglish.

 Somestudentsthoughtthehomeworkinthetextbookgiveswasnotuseful.Theycouldn’tuseitintheirreallife.Andsomestudentsthoughthomeworkwastocopythewordsandphrasesandwasverysimple.

 Thewayoftraditionalschoolworkassignment,whichtranscribeswords,phrases,eventextstothefirstimportanceinunify,neglectsthecultivationofstudentsinacquiringknowledgeandability,andleadsstudentstoapassivepositionandmakesthemeasytobecomeastudy“machine”.Thiswaywillmakethemfeelstudy-weariness,reducetheschoolworkeffort,anddoharmtomasterknowledgeinternalrelationanddeveloptheirintellect.
