AtWushanwemadeadetouruptheDaningRivertoseesomeofthesmallergorges.ThenextdaywewentthroughthebiggorgesontheYangtzeRiver.ItwasalovelymorningaswewentthroughtheWuGorge.WepassedtheXiangRiver,homeofQuYuan,the3rdcenturyBCpoet.TherewassomuchhistoryalongtheYangtzeRiver.Everyrocklookedlikeapersonoranimal,everystreamthatjoinedthegreatrivercarrieditslegends,everyhillwasheavywiththepast.

Aswecameoutofthethirdgorge,theXilingGorge,wesailedintotheconstructionsiteofthedam.Allthepassengerscameondeck.Wetookpicturesandpointedatthesite,butweweren'tallowedtogetofftheboat.TheChineseflagwasblowinginthewind.Onadistantmountainwasasignin20-footcharacters."BuildtheThreeGorgesDam,ExploittheYangtzeRiver,"itsaid.
