InternationalapplicantswhoareapplyingfromoutsideCanadashouldapply
atleastsixmonthsinadvanceoftheintendedstartdate.Pleasebeawareof

Englishlanguageproficiency
Englishisboththeworkinglanguageandtheprimarylanguageof
instructionandexaminationatUNB,sostudentsmustbeabletocommunicateand
comprehendEnglishbothorallyandinwrittenform.Allinternationalapplicants
totheSchoolofGraduateStudieswhosemothertongueisnotEnglishare
requiredtodemonstratethattheyhaveasufficientlygoodcommandofthe
Englishlanguagetoenablethemtoparticipatefullyintheacademiclifeofthe
university.
ThisincludesInternationalapplicantswhoareLandedImmigrantsorreside
inCanada.ProficiencyinEnglishmustbedemonstratedbyoneofthemeans
listedbelow.Thisproficiencyrequirementwillnotbewaived.TheSchoolof
GraduateStudieswillnotissuethefinal"CertificateofAcceptance"untilthe
Englishproficiencyrequirementismet.

righttorequireevidenceofaTOEFL,ELTS,CanTest,orMELABscorethatmeets
theuniversity’sstatedrequirements.
Someprogramsrequireahigherstandardontheseteststhantheones
indicatedastheminimumfortheSchoolofGraduateStudies.Consulttheprogram

Aphotocopyofthetestscoresforpreliminaryconsiderationmaybe
