Sinceourcountryimplementedtheeconomicalreformandtheopenpolicy,becausethefastdevelopmentofforeigneconomicaltradeincoastaleachbigcityandeventheinteriorvariousareas,businessEnglish,thisdisciplinealsorapidlygrowsinourcountry,andhasplayedthepositiveroletoimpelthedevelopmentofoureconomyandforeigntradeenterprise.AfterourcountryjoinsWTO,theforeigntradeenterprisedevelopsfurthertotheindustry,thegroupandtheinternationalization,whatforeigndepartmentneedsisthecompoundtalentedpeoplewhonotonlygraspEnglishskillalsoengageinforeigntradework,thequalitywhichweneedwillincrease.Atpresent,thesurgeofbusinessEnglishhasbeenraisedinhome,variousuniversities,collegesandinstitutesincreasethebusinessEnglishcourse.

Asthemostimportantexchangetoolinthemoderninternationalenterprise,businessEnglishhasbecomeanecessaryskillofpeople’sworkandstudy.Meanwhile,particularlyformanyinternationalenterprisestaff,theskillandlevelofcommunicationhavebecomeveryimportantfactswhichaffecttheworkopportunityandthedevelopmentofcareer.BusinessEnglishCertificateisusedbyallkindsofforeignenterprises,departmentsandorganizationstoprovetheabilityofrecruitingstaff.Simultaneously,itisalsothewaytotestandimproveonesownEnglishlevel.BusinessEnglishCertificateisregardedasapassportofbusinessapplications.AfterchinajoinsWTO,thenumberthatourcountryengagesintheinternationaltradeenterpriseincreasesrapidly,theenterprisestructurehasalsohadasignificanttransformation.Consequentlyalargeprocessionoftalentedpersonswhoarefamiliarwiththeoperationrulesofinternationaltradesandadapttheenterpriseoperationenvironmentisneeded.ThisarticleismyownviewpointaboutthenewtendencyofbusinessEnglishafterChinajoinsWTO.

DatebacktothedayofbusinessEnglishcameout,thisconcepthasbeenentrustedwithmanyconnotations.Havingthe“Business”meaning,businessEnglishisnotsimplyEnglishstudylonger.Withtheestablishmentforeigninvestmenttheabsorptionofforeigncapitalstatusandtherapiddevelopmentoftheforeigninvestmentourenterprisesinternationalizationdegreeenhancesveryrapidly.Butincoordinationwithit,thetalentedpeoplehavetheglobalizationbusinessability,adaptthemulti-countriescultureandhavetheinternationalbusinessEnglishcommunicationabilityarementionedtotheprogramup.WithTOEFL,GRE,GMATaswellasfour,sixlevelstestswhichourcountryholdaredifferent.ThebusinessEnglishtestspeciallypaysgreatattentiontotheabilitywhichexamineecommunicateinEnglishinbusinessenvironment.Atpresent,therearehundredsofforeignenterpriseswhichregardtheCertificateofbusinessEnglishasthestatustomeasuretheemployees’Englishlevel.Withtheforeignenterpriseincreasinggradually,moreandmoreChineseworkintheforeignenterprises.Althoughtheworknature,theworkingareaisdifferent,theyhavethesimilarquestion,forexample,howtoengageintheforeigneconomicaltradeactivity,howtoholdthesmallspaceintheforeignmanagemententerprise.Thelanguagedifferenceisthebiggestbarrierthatthesepeoplemeetwithoutdoubt.BusinessEnglishisthemostimportantexchangetoolofmodernforeignenterprise.ButthedailyEnglishandtheacademicwhichweknowabout.

AtpresentthescopeofbusinessEnglishlearnerinourcountryiswidespreadextremely.Includingthestaffwhoworkinforeignenterpriseandengageinworkingbusinessenvironment,andwillgoabroadtopursueadvancedstudieshaveacertainEnglishfoundation,butalsoowesthepeoplewhoisemployedbythepubliclines,enterpriseleadersandthepolicy-makeraswellastheuniversitystudentswhohavetherequesttothebusinessEnglishstudy,hopetoengagedinthebusinessworkinthefuture.ThisisbecausewiththeeconomicaldevelopmentandtheinternationalbusinessactivityincreasingbusinessEnglishhasbecomeanimportantinspectioncontentofapplyingforajobandemployment.TheintroductionoftheinternationallyrecognizedCambridgeBusinessEnglishCertificatetestprovidesaproofoftheauthoritativeandtheunitedEnglishforallthevariousrecruitmentsandtrainings.AtpresenttheBusinessEnglishCertificatereceivedmoreandmoreconcerns,astheprofessionalEnglishCertificate,Evenifitdoesnotengageinthebusinesswork,itishelpfulverymuchinthefuture,Atpresent,therearemanythree-investmententerprises,thestateorganandbusinessunitinourcountrythatacknowledgestheBECeffectiveness.since1993thetesthassetupinchina,itcausesthestrongrepercussioninsociety,morethan40bigandmediumcitieshasestablishedtheBECexaminationsite,therearemorethantwentythousandpeopletoparticipateinBEC1,BEC2,andtheBEC3testeveryyear.InEngland,69universitieshaveapprovetheBEChigh-qualityCertificateasthelanguageabilityproofwhichstudiesfortheparticipationundergraduatecourse;InChinatherearekindsofenterprisessuchasChinaInternationalAIRLINEScompany,theBusshusbandlimitedcompanyandsoonwhichacknowledgetheBEC;Inthewholeworld10universitieshaveconfirmedtheBECtestastheMBAcurriculum.Allsortsofthesephenomena,havecreatedfierysituationinthebusinessEnglish.

BusinessEnglishisthemostimportantexchangetoolinthemodernforeignenterprise.MostofpeoplefelllikeparticipatingthebusinessEnglishtrainingclasstoworkinagoodsituationandhaveabetterdevelopment,butinvestigationshowsthattherearefewpeoplewhohavereallystudied,andsomeproblemsarestillinthedevelopmentofbusinessEnglish.

2.1Fromthelearners,learningbusinessEnglishneedsarightattitude

ManypeopleallthoughtthatbusinessEnglishisastepping-stonetoentertheforeignenterprise.ThereforewhatthebusinessEnglishtrainingclassisstartingforthepeoplewhogototheforeignenterprisestoworkorhavealreadyworkedintheforeignenterprises.MostofthemhopetoobtainvariousbusinessEnglishtraining.Forinstance:

relatedtothedailymeeting,thespecializedtraining,thenegotiationskillexchangewaysandsoon.ButbecausenumerousbadpsychologicalbehaviorsandthearrivalofWTO,thereareyoungpeoplewhothinkthatsolongastheyhavestudiedbusinessEnglish,theywillbeatadvantageduringwork.Althoughthisideaisrightinprinciple,butitisinvalidinfact.Investigateitsreason,manypeople’sbasicskillsarenotsolid,theycannotstudythebusinessEnglish,inaddition,themediareporttheword“business”againandagain,itmakessomepeoplenotgraspthedirection,inthestudyingprocessonewrongafteranother,itwastesnotonlymoney,butalsowastesone’sprecioustime.Therefore,theauthorbelieved,thatwhenwechoosetostudythebusinessEnglish,wecertainlymustbeconscientious,realistic,andshouldnotblindlyestimateone’slevel,orchoosepopularcurriculumforthevanity,ifso,itwilldelayourownstudy.
