•Whenassemblingthecamshaft,alwaysmakesuretoalignthevalvetiming.Ifthisisnotdone,notonlywillperformancenotbeenhancedwhenthecamshaftisassembled,itwillalsocausedamagetotheengine.
•Thevalvetiming（eventangle）herereferstoacrankangleformedfromtopdeadcenterwhenthevalveisliftedhighest.
•Usethecamsprocketincludedinthekitforaligningvalvetiming.Thecamsprocketincludedinthekitallowsselectionoffivevalvetimings.Inthecaseofaligningforthepurposeofattainingaminimumsquishheightof0.60mm,useofthecentermountingholeallowssettingforintakevalvetimingof105°andexhaustvalvetimingof110°.
•Valvetimingadjustmentrangecanbechangedtoeither±1°or±2°relativetothecentermountinghole.
CAUTION:
1.Inthecaseofusinganewcamchain,makesuretowearinbyassemblingonthecamsprocketsasshowninthediagrambelow.Sincethecamchainstretchesbyapproximately1°aftercompletionofwear-in,adjustbychangingthecamsprocketmountingpositionsafterre-measuringthecamtiming.

•2.UsetheSTDmainradiator.AlsousetheSTDhosethatgoesintotheradiatorfromtheoilcooler.
•3.RemovethecleaningfanattachedtotheSTDradiator
•4.Donotfastenthehoseclamptootight.Thehosemaybecomedeformedandleakwater.
•5.Afterinstallation,checkthattheradiatorandhosearenotincontactwiththeexhaustpipe.
•6.Passtheclutchwirealongsideontheoutsideof®（Joint,hose）
7.Trappedairinthewaterpassagereducesthecoolingefficiency.Whenrefillingwater,inclinethemotorcyclerightandlefttoallownowatertoremaininthewaterpassage.Afterrefilling,idleruntheengineforawhilewiththeradiatorcapremoved.Thenaddwatertofillupthevacancyproducedbyescapingwaterandtightenthecapsecurelyontheradiator.

Duringmaintenance,placeengineoilinsidethepumpafterassemblingandrotatetheshafttoconfirmthatitrotatessmoothly.SincetheamountofoildischargedislessthantheSTDoilpump,donotruntheengineatenginespeedsof3000rpmorbelowforlongperiodoftime（30minutesormore）.Operationatlowenginespeedsforanextendedperiodoftimecancauseengineproblems.
Inthecaseofinstallingina1999or2000engine,usethehousingoftheSTDoilpumpforhousing①.
