形容词和副词的比较级和最高级小结
（一）规则变化:
1.绝大多数的单音节和少数双音节词,加词尾-er,-est
tall—taller—tallest
2.以不发音的e结尾的单音节词和少数以-le结尾的双音节词只加-r,-stnice—nicer—nicest,able—abler—ablest
3.以一个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节词或少数双音节词,双写结尾的辅音字母,再加-er,-est
big—bigger—biggest
4.以辅音字母加y结尾的双音节词,改y为i再加-er,-esteasy—easier—easiest
5.少数以-er,-ow结尾的双音节词末尾加-er,-est
clever—cleverer—cleverest,narrow—narrower—narrowest
6.其他双音节词和多音节词,在前面加more,most来构成比较级和最高级easily—moreeasily—mosteasily
（二）不规则变化
常见的有:
good/well—better—best;bad（ly）/ill—worse—worst;old—older/elder—oldest/eldest
many/much—more—most;little—less—least;far—farther/further—farthest/furthest
用法:
1.原级比较:
as+adj./adv.+as（否定为notso/as+adj./adv.+as）
当as…as中间有名字时,采用as+adj.+a+n.或as+many/much+n.

表示倍数的词或其他程度副词做修饰语时放在as的前面
Thisroomistwiceasbigasthatone.
倍数+as+adj.+as=倍数+the+n.+of

2.比较级+than
比较级前可加程度状语much,still,even,far,alot,alittle,threeyears.fivetimes,20%等
HeisthreeyearsolderthanI（am）.
表示“（两个中）较……的那个”时,比较级前常加the（后面有名字时前面才能加冠词）
Heisthetallerofthetwobrothers./Heistallerthanhistwobrothers.Whichislarger,CanadaorAustralia?
/Whichisthelargercountry,CanadaorAustralia?
可用比较级形式表示最高级概念,关键是要用或或否定词等把一事物（或人）与其他同类事物（或人）相分离
Heistallerthananyotherboy/anybodyelse.
Nobodyistallerthanhim.
比较对象相同时,可用that,those等代词代替第二个比较对象

比较级+than与notso/as+adj./adv.+as的相互转换

3.“比较级+and+比较级”表示“越来越……”（加more构成比较形式的,只重复more,不重复原形容词或副词

4.“the+比较级（……）,the+比较级（……）”表示“越……,越……”
Theearlieryoustart,thesooneryouwillbeback.
5.降级比较用“the+原级形容词或副词（不论是单音节还是多音节的）+than从句”Todayislesscoldthanyesterday.
6.一些特殊比较词组:
nomorethan不过,仅仅;同……一样不能notmorethan至多,不超过
nolessthan多达,有……之多（加数字）（强调数量之多,带有感情色彩）;一样,不亚于,恰好
notlessthan不少于（加数字）（无强调多少之意）
7.the+最高级+比较范围（in表示环境范围;of或among表示对象范围）
Heisthetallestof/amongtheboys.
Heisthetallestinhisclass.
最高级前不加the情况:
①作表语的形容词最高级前,如果不是和别人（或别物）相比,常不加the
WearebusiestonMonday.
②形容词最高级前有物主代词时,不再加the
WangHaiismybestfriend.
③最高级形式有时并不表示最高级概念,它只表示非常或“在很大程度上”,这时前边一般不加the

8.同义句改写:
①.比较级与最高级之间的转换.
eg:
