GotooffereduponemajordifferencefromthelastmajorJapanesedisaster,the1995KobeEarthquake.In2011,socialmediawaseverywhere,shesaid.Socialmediaofferedupplentyof"unfoundedrumorsandfear-mongering(制造恐慌),"Gotosaid.

ButitalsokeptpressureonJapaneseauthoritiestodomore.ChikaraYoshidalosthisonlyson,a43-year-oldvolunteerfireman,onMarch11,2011.Heandhisdaughterpostedapetition(请愿书)onFacebooktorestartunderwatersearches.Itdrewover28,000signatures,accordingtotheAssociatedPress.

TheJapaneseCoastGuardannouncedthatitwouldresumesearchesthisweek.
