Masaccio(1401-1428)

MasacciowasafamouspainteroftheItalianRenaissance.Helivedaveryshortlifeandonlyafewofhispaintingsexist,buttheyweresodifferenttothestyleofotherartistsaroundhimthattheyhelpedotherpainterstoseethingsinanewway.Masaccioisoftencalled“thefatherofRenaissancepainting”.Heintroducedthepaintingofthelife-likefiguresthathadnotbeendonepreviouslyintheMiddleAges.
