HefinallyreturnedtotheUKonSaturday,crossingtheGreenwichMeridianLine,inhiscustom-designed,26ft(8m),pedal-poweredboat,“Moksha”.Itwasthesamepointwherehisjourneybeganon12July,1994whenhewasjust26yearsold.

Jasonusedavarietyofmodesoftransportduringhisepicjourney,includingcycling,swimming,kayaking,andin-line

skating.HisroutetookhimwestfromBritaintotheUSAandthenontoAustralia,Asia,andAfricabeforereturningtoEuropefromtheeast.

Thejourneywasnotwithoutdangers:

inColradoJasonwasrunoverbyadrunkdriverwhilein-lineskatingatthesideoftheroad.Hespentsixweeksinhospitalannearlyhadalimbamputated.

Aswellassurvivingthecaraccident,Jasonwasrobbedandbeatenseveraltimesonhisjourney,chansedbyagiantcrocodileinAustralia,andarrestedbytheEgyptianmilitaryasasuspectedspy.Butonthewayhehasraisedmoneyfrochildren’scharitiesaroundtheworldaswellasdevelopinganeducationprogramforschoolchildrenbasedonhistravels.
