（1）在肯定句中动词need通常用作行为动词,后接名词、代词、不定式作宾语。

Eg:

（2）在否定句和疑问句中,need即可用作行为动词,也可以用作情态动词,

Eg:

Youneedn'tfinishthatworktoday.=Youdon'tneedtofinishthatworktoday.Doyouneedtogoout?

（3）need还可以用作名词,如Thereisagreatneedforanewbookonthissubject.Eg:

Afriendinneedisafriendindeed.

注意：

以must/need开头的一般疑问句的回答

——Need/MustIfinishitbeforesupper?

——（肯定回答）Yes,youmust.

（否定回答）No,youneedn’t.
