Duetotheneedsoftechnologiesandproductfunctions,someelectronicandelectricalproductmaterialscontainhazardoussubstancessuchaslead,mercury,cadmium,hexavalentchromium,polybrominatedbiphenyls,andpolybrominateddiphenylethers,etc.Inordertopreventtheadverseeffectsofproductsthatcontainthethesesubstancesonhumanhealthandtheenvironmentaftertheiruseandbeingdiscardedandtofurtherstandardizethemarkingsforelectronicandelectricalproducts,basedonManagementMethodsfortheControlofPollutionfromElectronicInformationProduct（OrderNo.39oftheformerMinistryofInformationIndustry）andbyreferencingrelatedinternationalstandardsandindustrialpractices,theformerMinistryofInformationIndustryreleasedSJ/T111364—2006,MarkingforControlofPollutionCausedbyElectronicInformationProduct,.

WiththeneedforrevisionoftheManagementMethodsfortheControlofPollutionfromElectronicInformationProductsandtheneedsofenterprisesforimagedisplaymarkingsandmarkingsforlogisticsprocessesduringthestandard'susefortheirproducts,SJ/T111364—2006hasgraduallybecomeinadequateinfullyapplication.ThegoaloftheformulationofthisStandardistosolvethetheseproblemsandprovidefurtherelaborateandperfectthemarkingrequirementsforelectronicandelectricalproductsinordertoimprovetheenvironment,facilitateapplication,implementnationalpoliciesandregulations,andreduceenterprisemanagementcosts.

1.Scope

ThisStandarddefinesthemarkingrequirementsforhazardoussubstancesinelectronicandelectricalproducts,theenvironmentalprotectionuseperiodandrecyclability.

ThisStandardisapplicabletotheelectronicandelectricalproductsthataresoldwithinthePeople’sRepublicofChinaandalsocanbeusedforreferenceforelectronicandelectricalproductlogistics.

2.NormativeReferenceDocument

Thefollowingdocumentsareindispensablefortheapplicationofthisdocument.Forthedatedreferencedocuments,onlythedatedversionsareapplicabletothisdocument;fortheundatedreferencedocuments,onlythelatestversions（includingalltherevisions）areapplicabletothisdocument.

3.TermsandDefinitions

ThefollowingtermsanddefinitionsareapplicabletothisStandard.

3.1

Electronicandelectricalproducts

EEP

Devicesandaccessorieswithratedworkingelectricalvoltagesthatdonotexceed1500Vdirectcurrentanddonotexceed1000Valternatingcurrentandworkbymeansofcurrentorelectromagneticfieldsorwiththeaimofgenerating,transmittingandmeasuringcurrentsandelectromagneticfields.

3.2

HazardousSubstances

Refertoleadanditscompounds，mercuryanditscompounds,cadmiumanditscompounds，hexavalentchromiumcompounds,polybrominatedbiphenyls,andpolybrominateddiphenylethersthatarecontainedintheelectronicandelectricalproducts.

Note:

“contained”inthisStandardmeansthatthecontentsofhazardoussubstancesexceedthelimitrequirementssetforthinGB/T26572.

3.3

EnvironmentallyFriendlyUsePeriod

Referstotheperiodduringwhichthehazardoussubstancescontainedintheelectronicandelectricalproductsdonotleakormutatesuddenlyundernormaloperatingconditionsandwillnotresultinseriousenvironmentalpollutionorcauseseriousdamagetotheusers'bodyortheirassetsduringthenormalusebytheuseroftheelectronicandelectricalproducts.

3.4

Recovery

Referstotheprocessoftreatmentofdiscardedproductssothattheycanmeettheiroriginalusepurposeorbeusedforotherpurposes,includingtherecoveryandutilizationofenergy.

3.5

Logistics

Referstotheentityflowprocessofgoodsfromthesupplyingplacetothereceivingplace.Itisthedynamicintegrationoftransportation,storage,loadingandunloading,packaging,circulationprocessing,dispatching,informationprocessingandotherbasicfunctionsbasedonactualneeds.

4.GeneralRules

AllelectronicandelectricalproductsthataresoldwithinthePeople’sRepublicofChinashallbemarkedwithlogosforrestrictingtheuseofhazardoussubstancesinelectronicandelectricalproductsaccordingtotherequirementsinthisStandard.Ifitcannotbemarkedontheproductsduetotherestrictionsofsize,shape,substancematerialorfunctions,itshallbeindicatedintheproductinstructions.

Fortheelectronicandelectricalproductsthatarepurchasedformanufacturing，thesupplierneednotprovidethesemarkingsbutshallprovidethepurchaserallnecessaryinformationformarking.Correspondingly,thepurchasershallmarktheelectronicandelectricalproductsthattheymanufacturedandthescopeofmarkingshallincludethatfortheelectronicandelectricalproductspurchasedformanufacturing.

Whenproductinstructionsareusedformarkings，themarkingscanbeinpaperinstructions，andinstructiondisc（CD/DVD），orpackagingmaterial;inadditiontothethesemethods，theproductinstructionsforelectronicandelectricalproductspurchasedformanufacturingcanalsobeprovidedonthecompanywebsite.Fortheproductinstructionsonlyincompanywebsite,theproductinstructionsshallincludeclarificationofthestepsforlookinguptherelatedmarkinginformation.

5.0ElectronicandElectricalProductRestrictedSubstanceUseRestriction

5.1Logos

PleaserefertoFigure1andFigure2formarkingforthedesignofthemarkingsfortherestricteduseofhazardoussubstancesinelectronicandelectricalproducts.

5.2MeaningoftheLogos

Thecontentsofthelogosfortherestricteduseofhazardoussubstancesinelectronicandelectricalproductsincludethreecomponents:

thecontentofhazardoussubstancesintheelectronicandelectricalproducts，theenvironmentalprotectionuseperiodoftheelectronicandelectricalproducts，andtherecyclabilityoftheelectronicandelectricalproducts.

Figure1isgenerallygreen,indicatingtheenvironmentalprotectioncharacteristic,namelytheproductdoesnotcontainanyhazardoussubstance.Theartisticstyle“e”inthemiddleofthelogostandsfor“electrical”,“electronic”and“environmental”,symbolizingagreenandenvironmentalelectronicandelectricalproduct;theouterlinewitharrowsformsacircle,indicatingthattheelectronicandelectricalproductcanberecycled.Theentirelogoindicatesthattheelectronicandelectricalproductdoesnotcontainanyhazardoussubstanceandisagreenenvironmentallyfriendlyproduct，andcanberecycledafterbeingdiscardedandshallnotbediscardedatwill.
