ThedrugEcstasywasfirstdevelopedabout50yearsagobychemistslookingforacurefortheheadache.Atthattime,thedrugwasnotusedverywidely.However,itwasnotedthatthedrugcausedanincreaseinheartrateandanincreaseinenergy---asortofeuphoricfeeling.
