AudreyHepburnwasbornonMay4,1929inBrussels,Belgium,withthegivennameofEddaKathleenvanHeemstraHepburn-Ruston.Shereallywasblue-bloodfromthebeginningwithherfather,awealthyEnglishbanker,andhermother,aDutchbaroness（男爵夫人）.Afterherparentsdivorced,AudreywenttoLondonwithhermotherwhereshewenttoaprivategirlsschool.Later,whenhermothermovedbacktotheNetherlands,sheattendedprivateschoolsaswell.WhilevacationingwithhermotherinArnhem,Holland,Hitler'sarmysuddenlytookoverthetown.ItwasherethatshefellonhardtimesduringtheNazioccupation.Audreysufferedfromdepressionandmalnutrition（营养不良）.Aftertheliberation,Audreywenttoaballet（芭蕾）schoolinLondononascholarshipandlaterbeganamodelingcareer.Asamodel,shewasgracefuland,itseemed,shehadfoundherniche（合适的位置）inlife---untilthefilmproducerscamecalling.Afterbeingspottedmodelingbyaproducer,shewassignedtoabitpartintheEuropeanfilmNederlandsin7lessenin1948.Later,shehadaspeakingroleinthe1951film,YoungWives'Tale，asEveLester.Thepartstillwasn'tmuch,sosheheadedtoAmericatotryherluckthere.
