1.collect
collect及物动词，意为“收集，搜集”。
例如：
collectstamps收集邮票 collectcoins收集硬币
【拓展】collection名词，意为“收藏品、收集物”。
是动词collect的名词形式，是由动词collect后缀－tion变化来的。
collector名词，意为“收藏家”。
例如：
Thesearemycollections.这些是我的收藏品。
Mybrotherhasaverygoodcollectionofstamps.我的弟弟收集了许多邮票。
Markisafamousstampcollector.Mark是一位著名的邮票收藏家。
2.unusual
unusual形容词，意为“与众不同的；不同寻常的”，反义词是usual。
例如：
Thisisanunusualbook.这是一本不同寻常的书。
【拓展】un-是个前缀，意为“不”。
例如：
happy“高兴的”—unhappy“不高兴的”；lucky“幸运的”—unlucky“不幸的”；
important“重要的”—unimportant；“不重要的”；
healthy“健康的”—unhealthy“不健康的”。

3.doorbell
doorbell名词，意为“门铃”，是个合成词，由“door+bell”构成，合成词是一种重要的构词法，对我们记忆单词很有帮助。
例如：

classmate同班同学 grandparent（s）（外）祖父母 everywhere到处；各个地方
4.inashorttime
inashorttime意为“很短时间后”。
“in+一段时间”表示“多长时间以后”，常用于一般将来时，对“in+时间段”提问时用howsoon。
例如：

Hewillbebackintwodays.他两天后回来。

5.awasteoftime
awasteoftime意为“浪费时间”，awasteof...意为“浪费……”。
例如：
awasteofwater浪费水 awasteofmoney浪费金钱
awasteofspace浪费空间
6.bebadfor
bebadfor意为“对……有害”，其反义词组为begoodfor，意为“对……有好处；对……有益”。
其中be动词有人称和数的变化。
例如：
Smokingisbadforyourhealth.吸烟有害健康。
Itisbadforyoureyes.它对你的眼睛有害。

really意为“（强调观点等）真正；实在”。
例如：
It’sreallygood.这确实好。

8.belongto
belongto意为“属于”，后接名词或代词，但后面不能接名词所有格。
例如：

注意：
belongto无被动语态和进行时。

ago副词，意为“以前”，表示从现在算起的“以前”，常与一般过去时态连用。

意为“你认为……怎么样?
”用来询问对某人或某事（物）的看法，后接名词、代词或动名词。

你认为出去散步怎么样?

意思也是“你认为……怎么样?
”

2.They（Thegames）willtakeplaceintheplayground.
本句中takeplace意为“举行”，还有“发生；产生”之意。
例如：
Thefootballgamewilltakeplacetomorrow.足球比赛明天举行。
【拓展】辨析：
takeplace与happen
（1）takeplace表示“发生、举行、举办”，一般指非偶然性事件的“发生”，即这种事件的发生一定有某种原因或事先的安排。
例如：

婚礼什么时候举行？
（2）happen作“发生、碰巧”解，一般用于偶然或突发性事件。

（一般不说：

注意：
happen与takeplace通常都没有被动语态。
