oxide,andozone.Certainhumanactivities,however,addtothelevelsofmostofthesenaturallyoccurringgases.
Verypowerfulgreenhousegasesthatarenotnaturallyoccurringincludehydrofluorocarbons
(HFCs),perfluorocarbons(PFCs),andsulfurhexafluoride(SF6),whicharegeneratedina
varietyofindustrialprocesses.
Eachgreenhousegasdiffersinitsabilitytoabsorbheatintheatmosphere.HFCsandPFCs
arethemostheat-absorbent.
