July21st,2007wasatypicalEnglishsummer’sday—itrainedfor24hours!
Asusual,Irushedhomefromworkatmiddaytocheckonthehouse.Nothingwasamiss.BythetimeIleft

Atfirstwetriedtopushonthrough.Wedidn’twanttomovethechildrenoutofhome,sowecampedupstairs.Weputasheetofplasticacrossthefloortoprotectusfromthedamp.Butafterthreemonths,wefeltverysick,sowemovedtoawoodenhouseinapark.Thehousewassmall,butatfirstwewerealljustdelightedtobeinanewplace.Unfortunately,thingstooklongerthanexpectedandweweretherefor10months.Thelifetherewasinconvenient.WhatsurprisedmemostwashowmuchImissedbeingpartofacommunity.Wehadlivedinafriendlyvillagewithgoodneighbors,andI’dneverthoughthowmuchI’dmissthat.
