II.IntroductiontotheText

It’sastoryaboutboththebeautifulnatureandbeautifulfriendship.Itisabout“awisdomtutoredbynatureitself,abouttheseenandunseen,aboutthingsthatchangeandthingsthatarechangeless,andaboutthefactthatnomatterhowseeminglydifferenttwossoulsmaybe,theypossessthepotentialforthatmostprecious,rarething---anenduringandrewardingfriendship.

Whythe“seeminglydifferenttwosoul”becomegoodfriends?

First,theyarebothlonely:

theboyislonelybecauseheisinaforeigncountrywithhisfather;thewomanislonelybecauseshehasjustlostherdearhusband.
