InLosAngelesthousandsofwhitecitizensvotedforTomasBradleybecausetheybelievedhewouldbeabettermayorthanthewhitecandidates(候选人).Bradleyhadspentforty-eightofhisfifty-fiveyearsin LosAngeles.FouryearsagoBradleylostmayoralelectiontoYorty.ThistimeBradleywon.
