SolidWorksisafamoussoftwareformouldsdesign,MasterCAMisapopularsoftwareofNCmachining.Thispaperaimsattakingfulladvantagesofthistwokindsofsoftwaretodesignandmanufacturemould.Throughtheexampleofdesigningandmanufacturingofcellphonecovermould,expoundthemethodandtechnologicalprocessofNCmachiningbyusingthistwokindsofsoftware.

1SolidWorksandMasterCAMintroduce
TheSolidWorkssoftwarebelongstotheendthreedimensionalCADsoftware,isDassaultSystemCorporationservesundersomebody'sbannertheSolidWorkssubsidiarycompanytheproduct,thesoftwarethemostmajorcharacteristiciseasytostudyeasilytouse,easytograsp,islowtohardware'srequest.Moreover,aroundtheworldseveralhundredcompaniesdevelopedthespecializedprojectapplicationsystembasedonSolidWork*tointegrateSolidWorksastheplug-inunitinthesoftwarecontactsurface,includingmolddesign,manufacture,analysis,productdemonstration,dataconversionandsoon,causedittobecomehasthepracticalapplicationsolutionsoftwaresystem,butmustrealizetheapplicationintheprojecttoneedothermodulesthesupport.MasterCAMAmericanNCSoftwareCorporationdevelopsthedevelopmenttheCAD/CAMsystemsoftware,asaresultofremarkableprocessingthefunction,hasthenumerousfaithfulusersintheworld,pan-isappliedinmachinedomainsandsoonweapon,aviation,shipbuilding,mold.HowevertheMasterCAMdesign(CAD)functionisrelativelyweak,whencarriesonthecomplexsurfacemodelingoneisquitedifficult,butthisispreciselytheSolidWorkssuperiorityis.ThisarticlewastheMasterCAMsoftwarehasprovidedDXF,I(}ES,CADL,VDA,STL,PA-RASLD,DWGandsoonstandardgraphtransformationconnection,maygraphtransformationcostsystem'sgraphicfilewhichproducedotherCADsoftware,realizedgraphicfilesharing.Establishesthemodelpostselectionreasonableprocessingway,usingtheMasterCAMturning,themillingandthelinecuttingmodulecanestablishhighlyeffectivetheeachnumericalcontrolprocessingprogram,facilitatesrealizesthegraphcarvingfunctionquickly.thereforecarriesontheCADdesignusingSolidWorks,unifiesMasterCAMtocarryonthenumericalcontrolprocessing,becomesthecurrentmoldenterprisepriorityselectionCAD/CAMway
Belowhastakethehandsetcovermoldasanexample,introducedthatSolidWorksunifiesMasterCAM9.0inmolddesignandprocessingaspectapplication.
2BasedontheSolidWorkshandsetcovermolddesigns
TheSolidWorkssoftwarehastheverystrongmodellingfunction,usesitsstretch,theexcision,thedrillhole,thebeveledge,topulloutordersandsoonshell,curvesurfacetobepossibletocompleteeachtypethecomponentsdesign.
2.1primitivedesignmodel
Bythehandcanopyexample,usestheSolidWorkssoftwarechoicecomponents,choosestheschematicdiagramfirstanddrawsuptheschematicdiagram,carriesonthesizerestraintandthegeometryrelationsrestraint,thencarriesonproductionthreedimensionalblockdiagramsandsoonstretch,excision,drillhole,beveledge.
2.2Handsetoutercoveringmanufactureprocesses

UsingMasterCAM9.0post-processingmodules,selecttheenginebedcorrespondencenumericalcontrolsystem'spostprocessortoproducethenumericalcontrolprocedure.SelectsMPFAN.PSTdocumentMasterCAM9.0willproducesuitsthisenginebedmovementthenumericalcontrolprocedure.TheMasterCAMsoftwaresystemhasdevelopedinviewofmanynumericalcontrolsystemswithitmatchpost-processingdocument(forexampleFANUC,SIEMENS,MITSUBISHIandsoon),theselectioncorrespondingpost-processingdocument,thenthedirectproductionspecificnumericalcontrolsystemneedsnumericalcontrolprocessingprogram.BecausethissystemisthedomesticallyproducedNanjingHuaxing21Mnumericalcontrolsystem,intheMasterCAMsoftwaresystemnotthepost-processingdocumentwhichmatcheswithit,theautomaticproduction'sNCprocedurecannotthedirecttransmissioncarryontheprocessingforthenumerically-controlledmachinetool,needstomakethesimplerevision.Therevisionfinishedthenthefiletransferforthenumerically-controlledmachinetool,completedtheworkpiecetheprocessing.

Conclusion
IntroducedtheSolidWorkssoftwareandtheMasterCAM9.0software'sfunctionalmoduleandtheworkflow.IntroducedtheSolidWorkssoftwareandtheMasterCAM9.0software'ssomebasewoodenoperationindetailtakethehandsetoutercoveringteachingmodelastheexample,includingCADcomponentsgeometricmodeling,CAMcomponentsanalogsimulationprocessing,NCcodepost-processingprocessthreeparts.Inaddition,butalsointroducedtheSolidWorkssoftwareandtheMasterCAMsoftwaregraphicfiletransformation.Itsintellectualized3DcartographyfunctionandMasterCAMsoftwarehasthegraphicfiletransformationinterfacefunctionunifiesclosely,realizessuperiorthedesign.
SolidWorkssoftware'sCADsuperiorityandMasterCAMsoftware'sCAMsuperiorityorganicsynthesis,mayreducetheusertodesignandtheprocessingcamtimepreciselygreatly.

通过手机盖模具设计和加工实例,阐述了使用这两种软件进行模具设计与加工的方法和流程。

1SolidWorks和MasterCAM简介
SolidWorks软件属于中端三维CAD软件,是DassaultSystem公司旗下SolidWorks子公司的产品,软件最大的特点是易学易用,容易掌握,对硬件的要求较低。
另外,在世界范围内有数百家公司基于SolidWork*开发了专业的工程应用系统作为插件集成到SolidWorks的软件界面中,其中包括模具设计、制造、分析、产品演示、数据转换等等,使它成为具有实际应用解决方案的软件系统,但在工程中要实现应用需要其它模块的支持。
MasterCAM美国NCSoftware公司所开发研制的CAD/CAM系统软件,由于卓越的加工功能,在世界上拥有众多的忠实用户,被泛应用于机械、航空、造船、模具等领域。
然而MasterCAM的设计(CAD)功能相对薄弱,在进行复杂曲面造型时一比较困难,而这正是SolidWorks的优势所在。
本文为MasterCAM软件提供了DXF,I(}ES,CADL,VDA,STL,PA-RASLD,DWG等标准图形转换接口,可以把其他CAD软件生成的图形转变成本系统的图形文件,实现图形文件共享。
建立完模型后选择合理的加工方式,利用MasterCAM的车削、铣削和线切割模块能高效地编制各种数控加工程序,方便快捷地实现图形的雕刻功能。
因此利用SolidWorks进行CAD设计,结合MasterCAM进行数控加工,就成为当前模具企业优先选择的CAD/CAM方式,下面以手机盖模具为例,介绍SolidWorks结合MasterCAM9.0在模具设计和加工方面的应用。
2基于SolidWorks的手机盖模具设计
SolidWorks软件具有很强的建模功能,利用其拉伸、切除、钻孔、倒角、抽壳、曲线曲面等命令可以完成各种类型的零件设计。
2.1原始设计模型
以手机盖例,利用SolidWorks软件选择零件,先选择草图并绘制草图,进行尺寸约束和几何关系约束,然后进行拉伸、切除、钻孔、倒角等生成三维立体图。
2.2手机外壳制作加工
(1)SolidWorks手机外壳制作
如上面打开零件绘图框,选择“前视”,插入“基准面1,在“等距距离”框中输入“10",建立基准面1,如图1
