ThisTechnicalSpecificationhasbeenproducedbythe3rdGenerationPartnershipProject(3GPP).

ThecontentsofthepresentdocumentaresubjecttocontinuingworkwithintheTSGandmaychangefollowingformalTSGapproval.ShouldtheTSGmodifythecontentsofthepresentdocument,itwillbere-releasedbytheTSGwithanidentifyingchangeofreleasedateandanincreaseinversionnumberasfollows:

1Scope

ThepresentdocumentcoverstheassessmentofE-UTRAbasestations,repeatersandassociatedancillaryequipmentinrespectofElectromagneticCompatibility(EMC).

Thepresentdocumentspecifiestheapplicabletestconditions,performanceassessmentandperformancecriteriaforE-UTRAbasestations,repeatersandassociatedancillaryequipmentinoneofthefollowingcategories:

-basesationsofE-UTRAmeetingtherequirementsofTS36.104[2],withconformancedemonstratedbycompliancetoTS36.141[3].

-repeatersofE-UTRAmeetingtherequirementsofTS36.106[4],withconformancedemonstratedbycompliancetoTS36.143[5].

TechnicalrequirementsrelatedtotheantennaportofE-UTRAbasestationsorrepeatersarenotincludedinthepresentdocument.Thesearefoundintherelevantproductstandards[2-5].

TheenvironmentclassificationusedinthepresentdocumentreferstotheenvironmentclassificationusedinIEC61000-6-1[6]andIEC61000-6-3[7].

TheEMCrequirementshavebeenselectedtoensureanadequatelevelofcompatibilityforapparatusatresidential,commercialandlightindustrialenvironments.Thelevels,however,donotcoverextremecaseswhichmayoccurinanylocationbutwithlowprobabilityofoccurrence.
