Examples
Sincetheadjectivalclausesintheaboveexamplesareneededtoclarifythenounthattheydescribe,theyareessentialandshouldnotbeseparatedfromtherestofthesentencewithcommas.
Iftheadjectivalclauseisnonessential(or"notneeded"),commasshouldseparateitfromthemainclause.
Nonessentialadjectivalclausesshouldnotbeginwiththat.
Examples
Sincetheadjectivalclausesintheaboveexamplesarenotneededtoclarifythenounthattheydescribe,theyarenonessentialandshouldbeseparatedfromtherestofthesentencewithcommas.
