Theductile-to-brittletesttemperature(TT),asdefinedinSection4.4ofRS5265shallbe–55°Cmaximum.
4.7NondestructiveTestingandSurfaceQuality
Tubingshallbefreeofharmfulorinjuriousdefectsasdetectedbynondestructivetests,andshallbeinaconditionsuitablefordownstreamprocessing.Nondestructivetestingshallbeperformedon100percentofthefinalproductinaccordancewithASTME213orequivalent.Thepitchoffeedshallcover100%ofthesurface,withaminimum10%overlap.Referencestandardsshallberectangularshaped,withaminimumsizeasfollows:

4.8HydroburstPressure
Hydroburstpressuretestingshallbeperformedbysealingtheendsofatubesection,forexamplebyweldingflatsteelplugstotheendsofthetube.Itisimportantthata150-mmpipesectionremainsconstraintfree,sothatfullhoopstresscandevelop.Thepressurizationofthetubesectionshallbeperformedbypumpingoil,water,oramixturethereofintothepipethroughanappropriateopeninginthesteelplugs.

5.3QualityConformanceInspection
AMaterialTestReport(MTR)shallbesentforeachmaterialdeliveryshowingthespecificationnumber,POnumber,length,quantity,andheatnumber.TheMTRshallcontainthetestresultsofSections4.2through4.8ofthisspecification.

Thetubingshallbe100-percentinspectedandconformtothecalibrationstandardofSection4.0.

Onehydroburstpressuretestshallbeperformedoneachheat-treatlot.
5.6Retesting
Whenaproductfailstomeetthespecificationrequirements,noretestsareallowed.Iftheaccuracyofthetestresultsisquestionable,asingleretestmaybeperformedtodetermineproducta
