Sixmoreorbitaldogflightsoverthenexteightmonthsfurthertestedtheequipmentnecessaryforhumanstofollowinthedogs’footsteps.ThathistoriceventhappenedonApril12,1961,whenYuriGagarinbecamethehumantotravelinspace.
