 Ihaveseenmuchunmeantformortaleyesinmywanderingsbeneaththatdarkandforgottencity.ItisnotthesplendoursofIremthathauntmydreamswiththismadness,butanotherplace,aplaceshroudedinuttersilence;longunknowntomanandshunnedevenbyghoulandnightgaunt.AstillnesslikenedtomillionsofvanishedyearspressedwithgreatheavinessuponmysoulasItrodthoselabyrinthsinterror,everfearingthatmyfootfallsmightawakenthedreadarchitectsofthisnamelessregionwherethehandoftimeisboundandthewinddoesnotwhisper.
