howold是用来提问年龄的疑问词组。

(1)howold意为“多大,多少岁”,是用来对年龄进行提问的疑问词组。

对年龄提问的构成为:

(2)表达某人的年龄时常用“主语+be动词+基数词(十yearsold)”。

其中

yearsold可以省略。

当基数词为1时year要用单数。

其中year意为“年”是可数名词。

【注意】在英语国家中,年龄属于成人,尤其是女性的隐私,是人们谈话时很忌讳的话题,故在实际交往中不要冒然询问别人,尤其是女性的年龄。
