一年的故事
ItwasinthelatterpartofJanuary,andaheavysnowfallwasdrivingdown.Itwhirledthroughthestreetsandthelanes,andtheoutsidesofthewindowpanesseemedplasteredwithsnow.Itfelldowninmassesfromtheroofsofthehouses.Asuddenpanicseizedthepeople.Theyran,theyflew,andtheyfellintoeachother'sarmsandfeltthatatleastforthatlittlemomenttheyhadafoothold.Thecoachesandhorsesseemedcoveredwithsugarfrosting,andthefootmenstoodwiththeirbackstothecarriages,toprotecttheirfacesfromthewind.
