ShinyaYamanaka和JamesA.Thomson博士
是建立了可诱导的万能干细胞，在干细胞再生和分化重排机理上做出了最具突破性的进展性工作；这毫无疑问是诺贝尔奖级的工作，其他几位平时工作很杰出，可是没有这种级别的工作，只好屈居次位；
排名第二：
RudolfJaenisch博士
长期从事于干细胞核的替代重组和干细胞的表观遗传修饰工作，卓有成绩，这也是培养诱导干细胞的核心工作，重要性无人能代替；

Rebortlanza博士
领导和指挥着全球最领先的干细胞生物技术公司，独创和建立了分离和培养单个胚胎干细胞的方法和技术。

两人是干细胞研究的中青年骨干，专长于干细胞分化再生的微环境调控机理的研究，.Scadden,博士是麻省总医院再生医学研究所所长，侧重于干细胞的临床应用。
Morrison博士则是休斯医学研究所研究员，是美国中西部大学中干细胞研究的顶级人物。
