OneofthereasonsbehindthegrowingpopularityofTCMistheincreaseofscientificresearchintoit.AndafterTuYouyou-theChinesescientistwhodiscoveredtheanti-malaria(抗疟疾)drugqinghaosu(青蒿素)-wontheNobelPrizelastyear,TCMbecameevenmorefamousinternationally.

However,alltheseachievementsinTCMdon’tmeanthatit’sproblem-free.Overtheyears,TCMhasfacedchallengesinbeingabletoprovethatithascertaineffects.
