WhowasTintoretto？

TintorettowasanItalianartistwhoworkedduringthe16thcentury.HeisconsideredtobeamongthegreatRenaissanceartistsofItaly，andexamplesofhisworkshanginseveralmajormuseums.SinceTintorettoalsoworkedonfrescoes（壁画），itisalsopossibletovisithisartworksinvariouschurches.Hehadadifferentenergeticstylewhichthepublicdidn'tquiteacceptatthattime.

TintorettowasbornJacopoComin，buthequicklygottheItaliannickname“Tintoretto”asachildbecausehisfatherwasadyer（染工）．Evenasayoungchild，hebegantoshowgreatartisticskill.HelearnedfromTitianbriefly，anotherwellknownartistoftheperiod.However，Tintorettoexpressedamindofhisown，andTitianfiredhimbecauseofhisindependence，althoughTitianrecognizedhispotentialasanartist.

Intheearlystagesofhiscareer，Tintorettocloselystudiedtheworksofotherpainters，andhealsomasteredtheartofmodeling.ManyofTintoretto'sworksarevastinscale，withlargenumbersofpeople，andmodelingnodoubthelpedhimwiththis.

ConsideringthatTintorettohadnoformaltraining，thequalityofhisworksisincredible.Heproduceda

hugebodyofworksincludingnumerouslargescalepieces.HispaintingParadiseintheyear1588isbelievedtobethelargestpaintingoncanvasintheworld，measuring72feet（22meters）by22feet（7meters）．

Inadditiontobeingaverytalentedartist，Tintorettowasalsofondofotherartsformusic.Hewasalsosaidtohavebeenverygeneroustothepoor.TintorettospentmostofhislifeinhisVenicestudio，whichwasusuallyclosedtoguestsandfriends.

Tintoretto'svastbodyofworkswereamajorcontributiontoRenaissanceartandculture.Hisstylealsobrokesharplyfromtraditionalart，usinglight，color，andactioninnewandoftenstunning（令人震惊的）ways.ItisclearthatotherartistswereinspiredbytheworksofTintoretto.
