SYNOPSISOFACTONE:

Onasummerevening,abirthdaycelebrationisgoingonatDr.Stockton’s.Amongthosepresentsarehisneighbors:

theHendersons,theWeiss’sandtheHarlowes.InthemidstofitcomesunexpectedlyovertheradiotheannouncementofthePresidentoftheUnitedStatesdeclaringastateofemergencyforsuspectedenemymissilesapproaching.Thepartybreaksupandtheneighborshurryhome.

However,shortlyafterwardstheyreturnoneafteranothertotheStocktonhouseforthesimplereasonthattheywanttosurvive---wanttosharewiththeStocktonsthebombshelterwhichistheonlyoneontheirstreet.
