"EmployersmustrealisethattheAustralianworkplaceisanenvironmentoflowunemploymentsotheyneedtoprovidebetterworkingenvironmentsorrisklosingstaff,"CEOofLinkM.auCampbellSallabanksaid.

Thosethataredeemedtoberespectableandglamorousfirmswithgreatworkingconditionsarefewandfarbetween.

Only17percentsaidtheybelievetheyworkedforanidealcompany,while33percentsaidthecompetitionwastoughtogetintothosetypesoffirms.

Predominantly,staffmorale(75percent),wages(68percent)andproximitytohome(54percent)arethefactorsconsideredwhendeterminingtheidealcompanies.

"Workersshouldnotholdbackfromtryingtoimprovetheirofficeenvironment,"MrSallabanksaid.
